On the 13th, the Shandong Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision released the results of the second batch of provincial supervision spot checks on building waterproofing membrane products for 2015 on its official website. Ten batches of products from ten enterprises failed to meet the requirements of relevant standards.
During the second quarter of 2015, the Shandong Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision organized provincial-level supervision sampling inspections of building waterproofing membrane products. A total of 188 batches of products from 188 enterprises across the province were sampled. Based on the requirements of standards such as GB18242-2008 “Elastomeric Modified Bitumen Waterproofing Rolls,” GB18173.1-2012 “Polymer Waterproofing Materials - Sheets,” JC/T690-2008 “Asphalt Composite Flexible Waterproofing Rolls,” GB23441-2009 Self-adhesive Polymer Modified Bituminous Waterproofing Membranes, GB12952-2011 Polyvinyl Chloride Waterproofing Membranes, and other standards. Testing covered nine parameters for elastomeric modified bituminous waterproofing membranes: soluble content, impermeability, heat resistance, tensile elongation, low-temperature flexibility, thermal aging, oil bleeding, and joint peel strength. For polyethylene-polypropylene composite waterproofing membrane products: tensile strength, elongation at break, tear strength, impermeability, low-temperature bending, thermal expansion/contraction, hot-air aging, and alkali resistance (8 items); For asphalt composite flexible waterproofing membrane products: soluble content, heat resistance, low-temperature flexibility, impermeability, maximum tensile strength, and thermal aging (6 items); Self-adhesive polymer-modified bitumen waterproofing membrane products: tensile properties, nail-rod tear strength, heat resistance, low-temperature flexibility, impermeability, peel strength, oil permeability, adhesive retention, thermal aging, and thermal stability (10 items); PVC waterproofing membrane products: tensile properties, dimensional change rate after heat treatment, low-temperature bending flexibility, impermeability, and impact resistance (6 items).
The inspection revealed that 10 batches of products from 10 enterprises—including Weifang Trust Waterproofing Materials Co., Ltd., Weifang Longzhou Building Materials Co., Ltd., Weifang Zhengtai Waterproofing Materials Co., Ltd., Weifang Chenguang New Waterproofing Materials Co., Ltd., Weifang Yusheng Waterproofing Materials Co., Ltd., Shouguang Haocheng Waterproofing Materials Co., Ltd., Weifang Qianwei Waterproofing Materials Co., Ltd., Weifang Baoyuan Waterproofing Materials Co., Ltd., Leling Runda Waterproofing Materials Co., Ltd., and Dezhou Zhongrui Geosynthetics Engineering Co., Ltd. failed to meet relevant standards. Non-compliant items included hot air aging (low-temperature flexibility, dimensional change rate), seam peel strength, soluble content, tensile properties (maximum tensile force), and elongation at break.
